Phil Bonner’s Thunderbolt at the Georgia Motorsports Hall of Fame.
On my first visit to the Georgia Motorsports Hall of Fame in Dawsonville, I rounded a corner of the museum, and seeing this car took my breath away. That is a trite figure of speech, but this part of Ford’s racing history is my favorite, and seeing not just a Thunderbolt, but Phil Bonner’s Thunderbolt, was a strong emotional experience.
